Art Class: Making Things Breaking Things

A gingerbread house baked from scratch! I’ve always enjoyed baking, but this one was a bit of a challenge. The idea was build a generic house this year to know what went into it, and next year I’ll design my own house, scale the dimensions, and calculate the ingredients needed.

Paintings I did with my friends. The one on the right was much more fun, and was done mostly through finger painting.

Origami is something I’ve tried to do in my free time since high school. Something about how you can use the properties of the stiffness of paper to bend it into interlocking shapes fascinates me.

I learned to crochet in the summer of 2021 and its yet another hobby I always want to do in my free time. Sewing was something I learned as a kid, and together these skills are not only fun and relaxing, but have helped me several times with engineering projects. Crocheting is kind of like origami to me, with the way manipulating string can lead to such different outcomes.
